Common questions

The model takes time to load – is this normal?

Yes. The AI model is loaded locally on your device the first time you use it, which usually takes about one minute. After that, as long as the app stays open, the model remains loaded and transcriptions start more quickly.

Why does the transcription take several minutes?

Media Transcript focuses on quality. In practice, transcription usually takes a bit less than half the duration of your media. This processing time allows the AI to produce accurate text and to better handle accents, background noise and fast speech.

Does the app handle different languages?

Yes. Media Transcript automatically detects the spoken language in your audio or video file and transcribes it in that same language.

Does the app send my files to a server?

No. All transcription is done locally on your device. Your audio, video and text are not uploaded to any remote server.
